Situated at the mouth of Wanquan River, Bo’ao Golf Country Club is 1.5 hours drive from Haikou, and 2 hours drive to Sanya. It has fully used the advantage of geography and keeps nature unspoiled. The sandy beach, pond, coconut tree and lake give the golfers not only beautiful scenery, but also a big challenge to their skills. The front 9 holes feature by waters and back 9 holes feature by the greenery and beach. The longest one is No. 9 (Maria), shortest one No. 11(Wave), and the most difficult one is No.7 (Great Wall).  This golf club has been visited by many social VIPs. The Secretary General of China Golf Association, Mr. Cui Zhiqiang said that it is”one of the golf course with most special features in China”. The Secretary General of World Tourist Organization, Mr. Francisco Frangary said “A too beautiful site for such a nasty game! But I enjoyed it very much”. On July 26 1997, Mr. Bob Hawwke former prime Minister of Australia and Mr. Morihiro Hosokawa former Prime Minister of Japan and his wife visited the course and bestowed high praise on it as well.
