The place for fishing in Sanya

Sanya as the only tropical city in China, it boasts rich ocean resources enriching numerous tropical and colorful fish. The blue sky, cerulean seawater, and gentle breeze enable a comfortable and nice far-sea fishing trip. There are many places for fishing, to name of some:

East Islet
It is 8 sea mile from Sanya. It has two ideal areas for fishing: the first is in northwest, 800 meter off the islet. The water is as deep as 13-16 meters. There are plentiful of corals and various kinds of fish; the second is in the southwest, 1.5 sea miles off the islet, as the depth of seawater can reach up to 15-30 meter. Beside the beautiful corals, here also a place for big-size fish, the most common fish here includes: rock fish, green wrasse, sea bream, red fish, parrot fish etc.

West Islet　
It is 3 sea miles, west to the East Islet, also named Daimao Islet.  1 sea mile to the southwest, there is a huge plot of rock formation underwater, where the various kinds of fish are swimming freely back and forth. It is also a good breeding place for rock fish, sea bream, parrot fish, green wrasse, Golden-thread fish (red coat), elephant fish and many unknown fish.
 
Dadonghai and Xiaodonghai　
They are the coral protection areas at state level. As the coral reef setting again deer hill, it is a good place for night fishing. During the moon-lit night, you can get various kinds of fish, such as golden scale fish and squirrel fish etc.
  
Liudaowan Bay  
It is 20 sea mile away from Sanya city, a good place for offshore fishing. The seawater is as deep as 40-50 meters with the seabed dotted with huge and rugged reefs. The place seldom reached by the fishing men or outsiders, so the fish can be nourished naturally without affects of human being’s activities. Due to the disturbance of ocean current, each moth only has 8-10 days good for fishing.
