Introduction of Boao Forum for Asia

Character: Non-government, non-profit international organization which holds meetings on a regular basis at a permanent site.

Object: Asia-based, deepen the economic communication, harmonization and cooperation among Asia countries; also a globally envisioned forum strengthen the dialogue and economic connection between Asia and other regions in the world.Provide a platform for political, business and academic leaders for dialogue on economy, society and other problems.

Provide service for the gradually enlarging economic cooperation between members and nonmembers through the work net which established by the FBA and political, business and academic circles.

Blueprint: Efforts are made to develop the BFA into a high-standard forum and to accelerate realization of the development goals of Asian countries through further integration of the regional economy.

Mission: Enabling the blueprint to come true, the forum will struggle to fulfill the following missions:

To provide government officials, commercial leaders and celebrated scholars with a platform for high-level talks, to strengthen and deepen trade and investment connections, to promote establishment of partnership relations, and to make clear one's point of view in response to global economic challenges.

To strengthen the mutual understanding of cross-culture exchanges, and to consolidate the social responsibility of the private groups in this region.

To create a sound environment, to intensify the harmonious coexistence between commercial groups in pursuit of growth and development, and to realize sustainable development of the local economy.

To cultivate and reinforce the concept of the networking mechanism and strategic alliance in the region, and to increase trade and investment opportunities between Asia and other areas of the world in the course of globalization.

To provide intelligent supports for the human resource development and the important research activities on the relationship between this region and other areas of the world.
